Steveston Overpass

Project Description

The Steveston Interchange Bridge project in Richmond, BC, involved the construction of bridge structures as part of improvements along Highway 99. The work included the construction of abutments, pier caps, bridge columns, and piers, as well as the installation of girders to support the bridge span.

Additional structural components included diaphragm formwork for the bridge deck, parapet barriers, debris fencing, approach slabs, and crash barrier walls surrounding the bridge columns and MSE wall below the abutments.

Our Role

Quattro Constructors provided concrete formwork services to Flatiron Dragados. The scope included the prefabrication and assembly of EFCO form systems, installation of formwork for the eastern abutment, and construction of the central bridge columns, piers, abutments, and pier caps. The team also completed diaphragm formwork for the bridge deck pours, formed and poured the bridge parapet barrier, assisted with debris fence installation, removed C-49 brackets over the highway during night work, and formed and poured the east and west approach slabs. Additional work included forming six crash barrier walls surrounding the bridge columns and completing formwork associated with the MSE wall below the abutments.
