Pattullo Bridge Project

Project Description

The stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge Replacement Project connects the communities of Surrey and New Westminster, providing a modern, four-lane, toll-free crossing designed to improve safety, reliability, and multi-modal access.
The new bridge replaces the aging Pattullo Bridge and supports ongoing deconstruction of the existing structure.

Our Role

Quattro provided civil and excavation support for the removal of the Royal Avenue Overpass adjacent to the existing Pattullo Bridge, along with the sequenced construction of new abutments, including backfilling of the final structure. Quattro also supported the offline construction and installation of the new bridge, which was transported and placed using Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs). Additional scope included demolition of the existing bridge and ongoing carpentry support, contributing to safe, efficient, and coordinated execution.

Other key scopes on the Pattullo Bridge project included cast-in-place concrete deck construction, involving elevated formwork and shoring systems across multiple deck segments and abutments. Work activities included constructing work platforms, installing soffit infills, and coordinating heavy crane lifts.

Since 2020 Quattro has provided skilled carpenters and engineering support on an ongoing basis, contributing to various phases of the project and supporting consistent, high-quality delivery.
