This project involved five months of structural concrete construction for a hydrogen energy facility. The scope included forming and placing approximately 100 linear meters of retaining walls, 1,700 square meters of slab-on-grade, suspended slabs, pedestals, and housekeeping pads. Additional work included installing 40 embedded anchors for a liquid hydrogen storage tank and substation gantry.
The project required detailed planning, quality control, survey layout, material takeoffs, and coordination with multiple subcontractors. Field challenges were addressed through as-built surveys and effective communication to maintain alignment with project schedules.
- Meeting clients aggressive schedule with placement of 900m3 of concrete in 10 weeks
- Coordination with on-site civil contractor to ensure grades were prepared both on time and to the correct tolerance to ensure no impact to scheduled concrete placement dates
- Design coordination and optimization for schedule saving initiatives
