Project Description

Construction is currently in progress for the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre (HJCRC) at the heart of Central Lonsdale. The initial phases involve site preparation and excavation on the north side of East 23rd Street, positioned between Lonsdale Avenue and St Georges Avenue.

QUATTRO'S ROLE

Quattro is constructing the onsite civil works for the new recreation centre. Including, storm water retention systems, sanitary and water connections, and underground drainage piping. Also, the complete building drainage system over 40,000 metric tonnes of structural backfill.

Nicomen Bridge Earthworks

Project Description

The project encompasses the design and replacement of the Nicomen Bridge on BC Highway 1, necessitated by damage sustained during extreme rainfall events in November 2021.

QUATTRO'S ROLE

Quattro Constructors is undertaking the earthworks and civil components related to the Nicomen Bridge replacement. This includes activities such as, excavation, embankment, temporary retaining walls, channel construction, bridge demolition and roadway construction.

Project Description

Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 will help upgrade approximately 4.8 kilometers of highway through the most challenging section of the canyon to improve the safety and realigning 13 curves to widen the highway to four lanes with median barrier and wider shoulders to accommodate cyclists. Also to mitigate rock fall and avalanche hazards with bridges, rock catchment ditches and other measures. Lastly, adding wildlife exclusions fencing and wildlife passage opportunities to reduce vehicle-animal collisions.

Quattro's Role

Quattro Constructors was subcontracted by Kicking Horse Canyon Constructors (KHCC) Project team for the structural steel erection of the Blackwall Bridge to meet key milestone dates as part of the overall project.
