Highway 8 – Emergency Repairs
Project Description
The Highway 8 Emergency Repairs project was associated with the November 2021 flood events. Scopes included highway construction, demolition of existing bridge structures, instream work, concrete repairs to bridge structures, temporary bridge construction, riprap production and placement for revetment requirements on damaged slopes.
Quattro's Role
Quattro Constructors was contracted to provide management, crews and equipment, to facilitate the emergency repairs required to reinstate Highway 8. Due to the extent of damage and limited access, Quattro Constructors worked hand in hand with Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and their design consultants to establish and field fit a new temporary highway alignment to the public.
