Quattro Constructors completed infrastructure upgrades for the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, focused on improving safety, durability, and functionality within an active port environment.
The Bullrail Modification Project involved the cut and capping of an existing water service connection, along with modifications to existing bullrail systems to meet updated design requirements. Work included countersinking fasteners, sealing penetrations with epoxy, relocating brackets where required, and beveling and chamfering edges to eliminate sharp transitions. All components were adjusted and installed to ensure the bullrail, risers, and brackets sat flush with the deck surface, with no gaps, and all exposed metal edges were ground smooth in accordance with design requirements.
The Damaged Retaining Wall Reconstruction Project included the removal of existing pavement, excavation, and reinstatement of geogrid reinforcement, followed by backfilling, block wall reconstruction, and repaving of the affected area. Additional work involved the replacement of handrails, surface finishing, and the relocation of concrete barriers, pavement markings, and signage to fully restore site functionality and safety.
