Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 will help upgrade approximately 4.8 kilometers of highway through the most challenging section of the canyon to improve the safety and realigning 13 curves to widen the highway to four lanes with median barrier and wider shoulders to accommodate cyclists. Also to mitigate rock fall and avalanche hazards with bridges, rock catchment ditches and other measures. Lastly, adding wildlife exclusions fencing and wildlife passage opportunities to reduce vehicle-animal collisions.
Quattro Constructors was subcontracted by Kicking Horse Canyon Constructors (KHCC) to complete the structural steel erection for the Blackwall Bridge. The team delivered critical structural components and installation support to meet key milestone dates, contributing to the successful completion of this technically demanding mountain corridor project.
