Stave River
Project Description
Stave River Erosion Project consisted of Stabilization of an approximately 40 m long segment along the right bank of the Stave River, which has been eroded leading to a loss of cultural artefacts at a known archaeological site on Kwantlen Nation Indigenous Reserve. The segment is located about a kilometer downstream of Ruskin Dam as well as immediately downstream of a pilot stabilization and bank protection work that was implemented in September 2018.
Quattro's Role
Quattro constructors was the Prime contractor to complete the project which consisted of supply and installation of wood-based assemblies to protect the bank. These materials consisted of Tree Tops, logs, logs with Roots, Log piles, Boulders, Wire Rope and Gravel and were constructed in a manner to create a break wall structure welcoming to the wildlife habitat in the area. Quattro Constructors work closely with Kerr Wood Leidel on completing this project.
