Project Description
The Broadway Subway Project is a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. It will provide fast, frequent and convenient SkyTrain service to B.C.’s second largest jobs centre, world-class health services, an emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities.
Quattro's Role
Quattro Constructors was contracted to install structural steel traffic decks over the new Broadway Subway Station excavations. This included site preparation, cutting steel piles, welding of cap beams, design and installation of temporary concrete support structures and installation of steel girders and deck panels. Crews worked double shirts 6 days a week to meet the project schedule demands.
